I purchased the 3 TB Western Digital My Book World Edition. It arrived quickly, securely packaged and ready to go. I have a two other (smaller)WD NetBook drives on my network at home.

The drive sets up easily and is a snap to configure. The software (included) consists of WD Discovery Tool and WD Anywhere Backup. WD Discovery tool scans your network for the My Book drive and steps you through the rest of the setup. You may have to temporarily disable your firewall first.

WD Anywhere Backup is a real-time backup software that includes a set of files most of us should back up: office files, pictures, music, financial documents, etc. But it's a snap to customize this backup set to include or exclude any file on your computer. The first backup takes awhile, after that, as you change a file on your machine, it is automatically backed up to this WD drive. And the best part: WD Anywhere Backup includes a license for 5 machines, perfect for most home networks.
