don't get me wrong: i'm a huge fan of WD HDD's. the fatal flaw on this HDD is the HDD indicator light; it is so annoyingly bright. the constant flickering will give some people seizures--i kid you not.

This drive is awesome. I can put some files on it, unplug it from my computer, put it in my pocket, and transfer them to another computer with great speed. I had no problems setting it up or anything - it just worked.
The 320GB of storage is nice - it ensures you have tons of storage but not TOO much. It seems to have really fast transfer rates over USB, faster than I expected. The small size lets you put it practically anywhere.
I don't have any complaints about this product - everything worked nicely. One thing that they might be able to improve on is over a longer USB cable. I know you can get an extension, but it'd be nice if a longer one was bundled.
Overall, this is a fantastic drive for a variety of uses. I recommend this series to all of my friends.

I cannot open this drive by just clicking on it. It keeps prompting me to install software that I have already installed twice! I have to right-click and select Open. Now I have to wade through documentation to figure this out. All I want is a simple drive that I can drag and drop files to!

My Western Digital portable drive has become an essential part of my computing. I have two computers: a Dell at home and a Lenovo at the office. Both computers are able to power the drive through a single USB connection. I use the WD drive for backup and transferring data between the two computers.
The WD drive is small, light, and runs quietly. I keep it in my backpack. It has performed well for about a year now. I chose black, but I think that a brighter color might has been more practical for finding the drive among all the other stuff that I carry around.

I like electronics of black color. That's why I bought black WD passport. It is a really good product: very gentle, durable, nice design, very useful software included. The only problem is finger sports that can be easily left and seen on the device. Even if you have clean and dry hands, it seems that they are greasy after you touched the hard drive. It makes me constantly wiping it. That's the only problem for me.
