I love this drive. I've had the 300gb version for about a month. The drive is hands down faster than any drive I've ever had. Don't go through the hassle of scsi, it is not worth the price and grief. This drive just plugs in and your ready to go. I used Acronis to backup my old drive and to restore to this one. So easy. The drive never pauses and runs cooler than my old drive. SSD (solid state drives) are coming into their own, but won't be cost effective until mid 2010 in my opinion. Plus they still have the 80 mbps limit on writes. I develop databases so I use my pretty heavily. Very quiet too.

Installed it into my Vista 64 bit system as a second drive a week ago and have had no problems. I've always had good luck with WD drives.

Great drive! If you are looking for performance this is the one to get. I have a 300G at home and I installed this 150G in the boss's PC. I cloned the contents of the old drive - Big difference on load time and boot-up.
This is actually a 3.5" drive in a 5.25" heatsink. Seems to run fairly cool to the touch, I wonder if the heat would be too much in a laptop...

The hard drive was as expected. I have install it and it has made a noticeable difference in the performance of my computer. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

This drive is fast, fairly quiet, very stable. There's a slight difference in boot time and programs seem to load a bit faster. It is expensive compared to other drives but it's worth it if you're after speed.
