The photo on this product is deceiving, it appears to have a removable top and bottom portion but what I received did not. It is closed and solid on top, and the bottom is wide open to accomodate inserting the nano into the bottom of the cover. That's it, a one piece job. Basically a rubber sock for your iPod. It is, however, thick and easy to grip as described. The protection is the best I have seen for a silicone case. I do have to push it up about once or twice a day due to the nano slipping down out of the case but I believe this is due to attaching my remote control unit to the bottom of the nano, it doesn't quite fit exactly into the cover at the bottom when it plugs in.

This is my second PixelSkin product - this one for my 4th generation iPod nano and one for my iPhone 3g.
I really like this skin. I appreciate the anti-slip grip and the quality - this is a substantial piece of protection for my iPod. The cutouts are smooth (no jagged edges) and it actually stays on my iPod without slipping off.
One thing Apple needs to consider is the "lock" button on the top of the nano - it's difficult to lock the unit with a case on because of how recessed the button is. NOT the pixelskin's fault!
Overall an excellent investment in iPod protection. Two thumbs up!

My Passport HD does not fit right. The case is bulky and keeps twisting around. The cord will not stay in it's enclosure (like the picture) and puts a lot of torque on the cord/jack. My wife purchased one when I did and her's does the same thing. Switched to a simple silicone sleeve.
