Great size, nice design, works flawlessly in the beginning, but after about 6 months it suddenly started making a clicking noise and stopped working.
I really wish I would give this a good review because it's a great price and a cute hard drive, but it just isn't reliable at all.

I use this little gem (PassportEssential WDME3200TN, 320GB, FAT32 Formatted) to watch movies (avi, divx, mp4) on my PS3. Easy to use, zero noise, excelent performance.
Note: The new Passport Essentials (WDBAAAxxx) come in NTFS Format, are smaller and have compatibility for Windows 7.

This is the second Passport I have owned. Both come in a small package are easy to use and are rugged enough to bounce around in a briefcase or bag. Access time is fine and it works right out of the box. Wish it came with a case hard or soft but they are available by third parties. My only complaint is that the USB cord is short--about 10 inches. This is fine if your USB ports are on the front of your computer and the computer is on your desk but if its sitting on the floor... Of course you probably already have a spare USB cord anyway so its no big deal. Very reliable product.

I love this drive. The fact that it's USB powered (i.e. no additional power cable) and the small size were my biggest reasons for selecting it, but the speed is impressive as well. I've used it to capture video from my DV camera with absolutely NO dropped frames... better than some internal hard drives. I usually don't care for the crapware (software) that comes bundled with hardware, but the WDSync application is pretty darn handy. I like that I can access everything in my Outlook backup by plugging the Passport into any computer WITHOUT having to restore the files to the host computer. That could be a lifesaver if you suffer a system crash. Get one of these babies. You'll not be disappointed.
