This compact, sleek external hard drive stands on its end like a book, and so takes up very little space. I had no trouble hooking it up to my TIVO and it is serving its purpose--expanding my HD-TIVO's memory.

Product everything as advertised. A no-brainer to install and worked on first attempt. Most satisfied customer.

The drive works great now that I changed the eSATA cable. When I installed the drive it crashed my Tivo on a more than daily basis. I thought I would have to return it, but I asked on line about it and was told to try a SIIG brand eSATA cable. I was shocked that when I did change the cable the drive has worked great with no crashes since. Why they use a poor cable with an expensive drive I do not know.

I have the MOXI 3012 DVR from Charter Cable. My usage was 66% with 13.5 hours of HD recordings indicating the internal MOXI hard drive could hold 20 hours of HD recordings. I attached the 1 TB Western Digital DVR Expander. I rebooted the MOXI. The MOXI quickly found the external hard drive and took a few minutes to format the new drive. My usage went to 8% indicating that I now had room for an additional 160 hours of HD recordings.
Easy installation, very quiet, and works great with the MOXI 3012 model available from Charter Cable.
